Losers play for third place on 18 July at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami. Winners advance to the final on 19 July at MetLife.
Opponents are filled in once the group stage finishes. Dates and stadiums are officially confirmed by FIFA.
The 2026 World Cup has 48 teams for the first time, and therefore a Round of 32 for the first time. Here is the full route to the world title:

The 2026 World Cup is the first ever with a Round of 32 (because of 48 teams). After that comes the Round of 16, then quarter-finals, semi-finals, third-place match and final.
If level after 90 minutes, extra time of 2x15 minutes follows. If still tied, penalties decide.
